German Bodied 35 Ford in France
Thought I would share what I came across today in the south of France. It is a 1935 Ford German coachwork by Glassner(might have spelled it wrong)It is what it is and lots of things incorrect or not redone correctly .Sold new in Germany and after the war exported to Senegal in Africa. Was discovered there a few yrs ago and brought to France.I was asked for help in getting parts to get it to run.The engine is a 24 stud not raised deck possibly 1938-39? Chassis is pretty much like the USA models and with mech brakes.Front fenders like a US '35.Hood and hood sides + grille like a US '37.Interesting that the doors are suicide and how the windows roll up and down with the folding frames made from brass. The tail light stands are US ones bought by the owner as none were there.Bumpers are smooth ,have no groove in the middle. They added the spare mount made up of a brake drum since that was gone.It needs a lot of work to get it right.Entire subfloor is wood.Hubcaps are 1 piece.Head lights are recent replacements.
Enjoy and Happy Holidays !!!!!
