Default V8 era front hubs on a 1931 Victoria

Hello. I recently purchased a 1931 Victoria and removed the 19" spoke wheels to repack on the front wheel bearings. To my surprise, the front hubs are a later V8 style (circa 1935) hub. I am not experiencing any driving or braking issues, but my question is whether or not this type of setup is okay for a Model A in the long term. The car only has about 100 miles on it (supposedly).

Do you think this hub was put on so that the prior owner could use the 16" wheels? The hubs appear to be in fine condition, but are they safe to use on a Model A?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
