Default 1932 V8 radiator caps

Is there more then one version? Have 2 slightly different ones.
one on left. Just found in an old collection of caps, etc. This is what I will call the old one as it is in worse condition. Ears broke off. Appears to be legit in every way. Weighs 144.3 Grams
One on right. Found in Dick Spadaro's shop. Appears to be slightly used or even NOS. I will call this the new one. Weighs 172.3 grams.
Other differences:
New one "nose" of ridge is sharper and has triangle shaped facet.
older one: rim is thinner then new one. Also you can notice the triangle facet on the rim side of the "new " one.

Nothing on the new one in magnetic. The "ears" and screw on the old one are magnetic.
