I have gotten to the point where I am going to paint the "A" pillar, gas tank, cowl, etc. To do this properly I need to remove the windshield. It is held on by 6 screws through the windshield hinge. Easy right? NO! They are VERY tight, and don't come out even after they have broken free. So we are not talking about wood screws here. I am thinking there must be nuts or captured "D" nuts involved. How does the windshield hinge attach to a 29 tudor?
I think I may have to remove the rear view mirror and upholstery panel over the windshield to gain access to the back of those screws? Yes? No? What ever happens, my over arching rule of everything has proven true again: IT IS NEVER EASY!!! But then if it were easy, anyone could do it. ![]() |
