Default Model A vs. Model B lifters

good morning. I recall reading somewhere that the Model B lifters had a larger diameter foot than the Model A due to a more aggressive grind on the cam and that the cam lobes would wear quickly if the wrong ones were used? Is this correct Or am I dreaming? The reason that I ask is that I have acquired a B engine that has been partially rebuilt and not reassembled and I want to be sure that I use the correct lifters. how do I identify the correct ones? Also, is there any thoughts on original vs adjustable lifters other than the initial adjustment? Thanks got the help. Jim.
