Default Banjo steering wheel

I have a banjo steering wheel that came with my 35. I know that the 35 didn't have a banjo steering wheel but I would like to know how I can determine if it is for a 36? I believe it is a reproduction. I can read several letters SHEL but I'm not sure if the next letter is an L or a D or if there are any other letters. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
