HI:

I'm trying to date a 31 carb so I think can anyone tell me what this is on the engine side of the carb it says 47D indented into it and either a 9 or a 6 depending how you look at it to me I think it's 9 but who knows.

Any way the carb I have is a zenith 1 and the letters are all indented and a ( Z ) up on top of it I tried looking in the restoration and judging standards book but that really doesn't show the other side of the carb I can take pics of the carb but I would have to have your E-Mail to send them to you cause I can never get this site to upload the pictures right for me anyway.

But if there's someone that rebuilds these carbs let me know and we can go from there.
