Default Positive Ground Disconnect

This subject may have come up before, but I could not find a thread addressing this specific issue. So, if it is a rehash, please pardon me.

I have a disconnect switch hooked between the starter and the negative post of the battery. My setup is a 6 volt, positive ground electrical system. I want to change the disconnect so that it is located between the positive battery post and the ground on the chassis.

My question is, will the disconnect switches sold by the Model A vendors work for this application? I ask because the instructions that come with those switches specifically state to install them between the starter and the battery (see the link below for the switch sold by Snyder's).

Is there some reason of which I'm not aware why that switch is not appropriate??

Many thanks!!
Mike
