I would suggest you remove the valve cover as you will likely find the same kind of sludge inside the valve chamber and in the return tube mounted on the side. This needs to be cleaned out as well. The oil appears to me to have traces of water emulsified in it. I would only run the new oil a hundred miles or less and then change it again. You may flush more sludge out and you can look for traces of water in the oil. if you do find traces of water you might want to consider replacing the head gasket
