Default Turn signal one buzzer up date

Installed turn signals. Wanted to use one buzzer. With one buzzer it did not work. Could go to two. But that would cost an extra $4.00. Being cheap like most of us I started the gray matter working. So I go to Radio Shack ( thats another story)
I get two 1N4004 diodes (a lower PIV diode will work but thats what they had). Cost $1.50 for 2 diodes. I wire the cathode of both diodes (side with the strip) to the buzzer the anode side one diode to the right turn indicator and the other diode to the left. Works great.\

I'm thinking GM posted the same thing a week or so back in the "TS buzzer too loud" thread.

PS...I'm as tight as they come

While the buzzers are harsh and annoying, that's the whole point, I never forget to turn my indicators off as soon as I can. I might modify the setup in my coupe, I have two buzzers wired in but they are on a different pitch. One is higher toned than the other. A pair of diodes and using just the one would correct that. The tones not matching is one downside of using two buzzers that I have not heard anyone mention before.

Only one buzzer is needed if added to correct location....off the flasher. Works for me!

Obviously a lot of people believe only one type of flasher unit exists. A 3 pin. Well, two pin units exist as well.

Good point, though, switching to a 3 pin and wiring off the P terminal would be easier.

Some flasher setups (home made) use two flasher units. The more sophisticated type use one.
