Default Any Idea what this is......Have a Look

Found this great piece at a Antique Market this week. Box is written in Pen that it came off a car.

It has a small switch and has Glass jewels (green red and clear)

Any thoughts on what it might be??

thanks Jeff

I've seen these used as guide markers, running lights and turn signal lights.

it's a de-ristoratorfluxcapacitationvolt-O-meter indicator light. Looks like your missing the loafing bolts for it!

It's an Old Antique Market as opposed to one that just opened up.

In days gone by some residential townships did not have adequate street lighting. The ordinance for street parking after sundown would require cars to have that light on the left rear fender. A weak wattage(to diminish batt drain) bulb would would have its glow diffused by the jeweled lens. I always thought they looked eerie when going down a road with all the cars dimly glowing. Enjoy yer day, Tom

Jeff, it's good to have a sense of humor here. We're all here to have some fun, be entertained, and get some education that is found in no other place. Most of us have health issues also, but manage to forget about them while we are here on the Barn. We wish you well and hope you can join in with us and have some fun for yourself too.

A sense of humor is fine, but if you can't help answer the man's question in some way, why respond at all.
