The skirts were too short and were banned from the site.

I though there was a guy that was making surface mounted fender skirts. The ones I made are flush mount and fit from behind and because each fender has a minor difference in wheel opening the flush mounted would have to be made to fit each individual fender unlike surface mounted ones.

Model A Man,
How did you attach your skirts to the fenders?

Top secret! lol. I was able to attach the fender skirts with out drilling any extra holes. I used existing holes and made brackets that follow the fender curve then made spring loaded mounts to use outward pressure and there are only two bolts that need to be removed to take off the shirts and they are hidden under the front and rear lower edge. the clearance is so close that I cant use hub caps on the rear as they would rub.

I guess it must just be me but those skirts makes a model a just too pimped of a ride...I like plain looking model A's like they did in the 30's. If I had a big 30's packard or caddy it would be different...

Yes it is a love/hate relationship with the look. I guess I just like being different. A while back I was fooling around with making a half set of skirts for the front fenders. May be someday.
