It was at the MARC National Meet in Merrillville back in 2009.

Not so bad, considering normal speed was probably 15 miles an hour or so...

As an adopted son of Montana, this is appropriate to the state of mind that is the Treasure State!

Yep, waaay to rich for my blood but its for sale in my hometown!! My parents and in-laws still live there. I gotta tell ya, looking at those pictures makes me a bit homesick for Montana. You can see the Bridger Mountains in the background - which in my youth was my playground for skiing, hiking, and hunting. Would love to find a way back - and if it weren't 50K that would be a fun novelty to have. Maybe I'm wrong but it sure looks like the body is a cabriolet! Maybe it would be a sin to change anything or the patina, but one could restore the cabriolet body and put that on another chassis, then either restore what's left along with a coupe or Tudor body or find something of the same patina. Lots of options. If that was a business or sport coupe I'd probably leave it as is, but if it is actually a cabriolet there might be some value in restoring that for another chassis. (but not at a starting point of 50K in my mind) That's a lot of money to spend for a novelty / cool piece of history that is never going to be driven over 10mph unless those parts are destined and desperately needed for something else in which its still a lot of money.

I saw the car in Merrillville, thought it was kinda neat! Certainly unique!

The 'bid' of $50K is odd, as the seller says 'I will lower the first bid of $50,000 as I post more pictures and information.'

That's no way to run an auction. Smacks of shill bidding!!!

Even though I have started on my journey to collect one of each Model A, I find $50,000 dollars to be absolutely outrageous ! I agree with BlueSunoco, that is no way to run an auction ! If he gets 30 K I will be surprised. I know one thing, I won't be bidding !

With tires that large turning is not necessary...

Unbelievably, They've got one bid on it! It's a monstrosity! And a rusty one at that! 24" tires? I can recall trying to get them for my Allis Chalmers B. $50 grand? Not today!

The add says when he gets all pictures etc posted he will lower the price. Don't know why he didn't wait. But it is cool looking.

Yeah, you just run over something, or climb over it!

He must be real proud of that one. It would be fun but nowhere near worth the price.

My car is unsellable. Might have to make some new fenders and fit tractor wheels and keep it for fun.
