Default Engine Oil Leak

I have an oil leak dripping form my bell housing area. A drip was very small in the last few weeks, but it has just got larger. I have not got under the A with this problem, but with my past engine experience (not all that much), it may be the rear crank gasket. I am nursing a fractured fibula in my leg -ankle area. Tipped my Harley over in my nephews sandy drive-way. If, I can get past the better half, I will drop the oil pan and see what I see.

Any thoughts ???

Don't drop the pan yet. How big is the spot it leaves?
Only a few drops can spread to make a large spot.

Is the leak coming from the cotter pin hole or dripping from the rear of the oil pan? The Crank shaft did not have a gasket (used a slinger) but the oil pan did.

I don't trust a Ford that doesn't leak oil.

check the filler cap to the crankcase. if it is pushed tight on the filler tube you can get someback pressure. At least I remember this as a possibility.

Hey Tom, it's a lot more than a couple of drips. I will get at it as soon as I can. I'm sure it's the oil pan gasket rear seal.
