Default Balls! steering that is...

sorry, couldn't resist.
I picked up a nice set of steering arms at the Chickasha swap yesterday. Now for the re-ball process.
These are Ford script and in good shape so I'm looking for somebody that has the jig to reball these arms and has the reputation of doing good work. I don't want to just send these off for exchange so please don't suggest that.
Anybody known here do good work at reasonable prices that would redo my set? Thanks for your input.

I've had very good results with Wiley Higgins in Cummin Ga. Wiley has been published in the national magazines and is famous in the model A world. He restores many different model A componets. Wileys work is SO good that it can't be detected from new old stock. Try Wiley Higgins, 4135 Nicholas drive , Cummin, Ga. 30040 phone 770-887-7176 or [email protected]

Steering arms are meant to be one piece. Weld up the worn areas and file the balls as round as possible. Perfection isn't necessary as they don't spin. Ever seen one that wasn't welded properly come off.

A&L will reball your original arms. They use hollow mills to cut the old ball off and weld on a new ball that fits tight over the shaft.

If you want your original arms A&L will do them but will take about 6 weeks. There work is very good.

I am a average garage shade tree mechanic and I did my own balls ( don't laugh) it was not hard to do, used a sawzall with metal blade to cut them off and drill press to drill out hole, then pressed them in with press and welded back side...you cannot tell it has been done and I would be very suprized if they ever failed...
