The suppliers have the pressed in type also. Whenever I have ordered a kit with all grease fittings needed for a Model A, I have always gotten the correct types. Some are press fit, and some are threaded.

The press in ones have ridges that look like they are threaded but if you look close the ridges are rings. Some of them are a very tight fit so make sure what you are putting them into is well supported.

You also need the special tool to drive them in without damaging the ball. Bob

You have to thread the holes to use the modern fittings.

My repo grease fittings do not have a spring or check ball. Does someone make authentic Model A grease fittings?

Sounds like he ordered the kit. You do not have to thread the holes, look close as I stated. While I can't tell where each grease fitting went I think some did not have check balls in them originally.

He said he ordered the modern type, 1/8 pipe thread.
