Default radiator bottom touches crank handle guide

1930 town sedan // should there be a space between and if so how much?
there is a rubber pad between frame and rad supports each end.

Yes, there should be a pad between the radiator mounts and crossmember. Some or fabric reinforced rubber, some are leather, and my originals are brake lining material that look like they were run through a roller to squeeze them thinner. They are about 1/8" or a hair more.
