Default Water weeping from manifold stud ?

Seems like there's always something to fix on the Ford...

Now I seem to have water weeping from the #2 manifold stud.

Do these studs thread into a water jacket or are the holes "blind" ?

When I replaced the head gasket, I did observe a small "tight" crack in the deck, between #2 cylinder and #2 exhaust seat...
