I am rebuilding my 30’ Tudor. The attached picture (if I can figure out how to attach a picture) shows where it is in the rebuild process now.
I was working inside the car today and was looking at the new top bows that I put in last fall (I replaced all the top wood). It got me wondering if I put the machine screws in wrong. I forgot to take pictures of the old top bows before I removed them, and I do not see detailed pictures in the repair manuals. This is a really dumb question, but when bolting the top bows to the support do the 10 – 32 bolts go in from the bottom with the nut and lock washer on top, or in from the top with the nut and lock washer on the bottom. I put them in with the nut and lock washer on the bottom. The car did not have an interior headliner I do not know if the ends of the bolts with the nut and lock washer extends too far below the support and will get in the way of the new headliner when it is installed. Perhaps it does not make a difference but I thought I better ask. Thank you for your help. |
