Default 1928 header cap fit

So I am getting close to fitting the top and top trim. It's pretty far in the process to ask such a thing but how are things supposed to fit in this front corner? There's a little gap that i question how that's sealed up. I can't find a specific picture of how it was before removing the header.

The wood pieces leave gaps and metal pieces may have funky spots on the front that do the same. I'm more familiar with the Sport/Business soft top coupes than the Tudor since they both have the metal header cap but both are pretty well covered with the topping material or trim. Any open areas where daylight gets through can be filled with what ever works best for you as long as the top material and the trim pieces will cover it up. The way the sun visor fits into the header cap, it further covers some spots.
