Default shout out to iron trap garage

For some time now, I've been searching for the three chromed bezels that surround the controls on a 39 radio...placed wanted ads on here to no avail....
Iron trap had such a radio listed on eBay for $75.00, BUT an additional $100.00 shipping to my New Zealand address, plus eBay collect an additional 15% on top of that total on behalf of a NZ Government tax. Factor in the lousy exchange rate converting it to NZ$$$, it gets bloody expensive, very fast!
I wrote to Matt at iron trap, and asked if he would be prepared to remove those three bezels and send to me as shipping would be considerably less, I told him I'd gladly pay the $75.00 asking price just for the bezels...I really did not even expect an answer...
Much to my surprise Matt replied saying he'd do so for $75.00, I thought he meant $75.00 for the bezels, and $75 shipping, so I PayPaled him $150.00. Then I re-read what he had written; $75.00 all up, including postage! Duh!!! I wrote him, explained what I'd done, asked if he would return the $150.00, and I'd resend the correct amount. He replied to the affirmative, so I used the old PP to remit a further $75.00 to him. True to his word, he returned the $150.00, and sent the bezels, which arrived yesterday, nicely packaged, and I note the postage cost $20.00. This shows incredible honesty and integrity on his part, as well as providing excellent parts at an excellent price...I am most appreciative and wish to acknowledge this gentleman's fine ethics on this board.

Check out his website https://irontrapgarage.com/ he has so much available, it is great to see another younger fellow continuing the flathead lifestyle.

i've followed M since his "eastwood days" and he truly is a great representative

for the automotive sport world. i think he is happiest grinding rust and slathering grease.

I've watched Matt & Mike at Iron Trap for a couple years and subscribe to their U tube Channel. They are growing an incredible inventory of vintage Ford (and other) parts. They just purchased an historic property for additional space for their parts operation.

They are organized, reasonable, very responsive, and willing to do business. I highly recommend these guys.

After marveling at the huge parts stash, they have amassed, I wondered out loud (on Instagram actually) when the Monthly swap meet was starting.
Hey Matt......... Hint! Hint!

Been a fan from the beginning and bought several items from them. I find it absolutely amazing what they uncover. I know it’s a haul for them, but I would like to see them set up at Pate in Texas and the Moultrie swap meet in Georgia. I know I would buy some of the larger items if this was the case. At any rate, keep up the good work.

Glad everything arrived safely! Thanks for the positive review!

The hope eventually is to have the Mill as a walk in store/location for parts and eventually hold events like cruise ins and swap meets! Just will take some time to get the property back up to snuff to have the public on site. But we’re on it!

ordered an item on july 1st, from ITG on Ebay. tracking started july 3rd. i'm in central coast california. it's now in San Pablo UPS, so should be here tomorrow. that's about eight days too. surprised it get's to NZ just as fast as it does to me in California. of course it WAS over the Fourth of July weekend.

anyway, been watching them on youtube for over a decade. and now that i own a '41 ford it's more interesting than ever.

Huey, My delivery was over that same weekend, delivery times are controlled by the carrier[s], not Irontrap, the point I was making is that these guys are 'on to it'.

Seems a straight up guy Brian. Got a surprise a while in one episode to see him wearing an Ajays V8 T shirt.
