Still from a movie? Maybe 'Sullivan's Travels' with Joel McCrea? Looks familiar.... Thanks for posting!

Between the dented fenders, and the headlight staring off into space pride in ownership is not in the owner's vocabulary.

No horn, no wiper, right headlight is shot, left headlight looks like it is covered (GEEE Wouldnt want it to get dirty), license plate is barely hanging on, dents on the front fenders, no hub caps.

Hey wait a minute, that's my car. Its been stolen.

That is a screen grab from the 1938 movie titled: Merrily We Live

You can watch the entire movie on YouTube at this link: https://youtu.be/5CVbDRlQdHQ?si=3qEXovyIVk0xNPrp

That overheating Roadster scene starts at 12:14 minutes into the movie. The Roadster overheats and, in spectacular fashion, rolls down the hill and then off the cliff, smashing further down the embankment.

I guess I don't need to comment on the missing front bumper center clamp, like I usually do with these photos - because this time there IS no front bumper!

Billy Burke also played Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, in Wizard Of Oz.

Figured they converted that 'A' to use steam.

by the looks of it all, that spare tire tells me the driver is all set for the long-haul X-C!!

my confusion comes from the running board C-clamps? not sure if they were original equipment... as installed at FOMOCO... or a Dealer Item?

The c-clamps are the built-in fasteners for the out-stretched running-board,accordion type luggage rack. A very popular aftermarket item that way pre-dates the Model A, but probably still selling them at stores as long as there were running boards.

Huh, I never noticed that there was not a bumper. So maybe it is not my car.
