I am shopping for a 1937 Ford intake and I have not been able to find a photo of one off of the car to show details to help identify a 37’ from other years.
Any help with a description or photo would be appreciated. Thanks!

the lower photo above is 37, the uppermost photo is 35. Note the lower generator mount on the 37

As Brian noted above, the "low" mounted generator stud denotes 1937 and later flatheads. The higher mounted generator stud (more of a ski jump ramp on the front of the intake manifold) would be 1936 or back. I am not up on all the intricate details of 1937 and up intakes like I am 1932-1936 SO I am not any more help other than what has been posted AND to say, pay attention "details" like how the runners of the intake are shaped, etc etc and for example I use a mid/late 1935 to 1936 intake and note how the runners of the intake on a 35 are pronounced on the front half of the intake and its smooth all the way up the generator mount of the 36 intake, its small details that will differentiate one year from another "sometimes"....SO....hope this helps!!!! |

I know 37 cars used the aluminum intake, and I think the trucks used the cast iron intake. Does anyone know for sure whether pickups used aluminum or cast iron intakes in 1937?
