When I joined my local Model A club 13 years ago, I was warned Model As are like lays potato chips - you cant have just one, and it turned out they were right!
Lastnight I took delivery of my second Model A, a 160B. I have been restoring my grandfathers Coupe for years and simply have not had time with my young family to make headway on the body work and the car has been off the road for years. I'm getting closer with the means, space, tools and motivation but still have hundreds of hours work ahead of me. The other problem is the trunk equipped coupe wont fit my whole family - with our new 160B we can all join in the fun!

Congratulations on both, a new toy but most importantly the discovery that these cars are all about creating family memories. Imagine all the other families who have also enjoyed the ride.

Fantastic! Congratulations, dad! Now, drive it like you know how to fix it.

This is a such great hobby and Ive been fortunate to meet a lot of great friends from my previous home in Washington with the Gallopin Gertie Model A club and now in Idaho with the Treasure Valley As. The fixing part has always come naturally - paint and bodywork? Well the coupe needed it and I'm far too particular to overlook broken rear body mounts, swiss cheese firewalls, and rust holes in my fenders without doing something about it. Im having fun learning but its not something you can invite friends over to help with, or knock out over a few weekends. Grandpa's coupe will get there! But I have a lot of living to do in the meantime and this will make it so much more fun for the whole family. -Aaron Griffith

Great looking car! Congratulations! You will definitely be able to get plenty of family time with this one! I'm in the process of restoring a 31 like yours. Seeing pictures of others motivates me to get my tail in gear with it. Thanks for sharing!

Aaron, that’s a gorgeous car. I have the same colors on my 160B (my wheels are apple green) and I m continually complemented on how nice it looks. Expect the same, especially with two grinning small people in the back! I think the whitewalls really put a punch to an already attractive car.
You have your priorities right - at least one Model A to drive and at least one Model A to work on.

Sadly, I didn’t have Model As when they were around the house.

Ditto. Tom beat me to it - that was pretty much exactly what I was going to say.

I have a 160-B, but it does not have seatbelts, ash tray, radio, glove box, or heater, but it still has the original blank and white rear view mirror, cause everyone knows color mirrors did not come out until WWII (try it on the young folks, works more the half the time)

Congrats on a wonderful car and adventures to follow. Our family had many adventures and we still talk about them 40 years later. The "old girl" took us to Tacoma in 1994. My daughter even wanted the very used "A" in her wedding, she said it was part of the family! I love that girl and my daughter too. Memories! LRF
