I use early Camaro shocks front and back, and make my own brackets. However the stock springs are very stiff compared to a modern car of the same weight, It's hard to soften the spring rate and keep ride height the same. All of this is expensive, trial & error!!

I'm not sure if ford did anything special with their frames when they went to tube shocks in the front but I installed stock ford tube shock mounts in the stock shock holes on our '41 and developed hairline cracks radiating out from the holes. welded a plate to the outside of the frame. later went back to stock shocks to get a better ride. was almost like the frame was being twisted
