Howells Sheet metal in TX makes the round access cover.1933 1934 Ford Car Inspection Cover for The Differential Housing $32. Be careful as their reputation is questionable.Lots of bad publicity on the HAMB. The batt access cover was I believe in 1/8" ply with a finger hole, which you can make yourself.

As mentioned, Howells has a differential cover plate.
I have seen battery cover plates listed before. Perhaps Howells, as well?

That steel floor piece for over the rear axle housing is for non-rumble or non-back seat cars only. For those that care about such things, the insert used in cars with a back seat was made of fabric remnants with a heavy wire ring loosely sew into the perimeter that was formed to fit into the slots in the hole in the floor (ever wonder what the slots were for?). The purpose was to create some flexible space to handle the higher air pressure beneath the bottom cushion when the seat was sat upon, believe it or not.

With reference to the rear axle hole, I tried wood (33 Sedan), and it didn't work for me. Just minor bumps in the road caused the rear end to raise sufficiently to knock the wood out of it's resting place. I believe it was David (long ago) that put me on the the fabric cover... I used remnants of the top-insert material, and as David mentioned, a heavy wire ring. That worked as intended.

Woodart had the battery cover, It took months for them to ship. It fit fine. Stain with the darkest wood stain you can find and maybe spray paint flat black.

Many of the the model 40 parts listed by Howels are actually made by Tom Bay, and you can buy direct from him
