Small world. I'm in Lincoln...about 30 minutes north of you. I hope to see your car someday. I bought this as a project, knowing that it had some wrong bits, but I enjoy resurrecting these old cars. This will remain in its original form.

Thank you everyone for the kind welcome. My plans for this car is to put it back to as close to original as I can, like all of the rest of my vehicles. That's the way I like them. Unfortunately, winter is nearly upon us here in northern Maine. That puts a damper on most of my old car activities.

I'm sure you are correct about the horns and I appreciate the input. It's on my list of things to address.

The devil is in the details…and eventually this car will be back to the way it should be…with some personal preference touches. Some of the bits I like to add to all of my cars….period correct plates and state inspection.

Trying to get my post count up to 10, but does anyone have the missing portion of the spare locking mechanism?

I agree that blackwalls are the way to go and you have a beautiful car. Take care.

I also like blackwalls more than whitewalls on most old cars. Nice 35 you have, and good to hear you will keep it stock. I personally prefer the standard 35s with the painted grills compared to the deluxe models with shiny grills.

I prefer the standard also….has a bit of a “tougher” look to it
