Default No luck contacting vendor

I purchased an exhaust manifold bolt and washer set for my '48 8BA a few months back from a vendor that also posts on this forum and has his business in McMinnville, TN

Sent a PM to him recently too- "Works fine but missing one of the black oxide lock washers….. I got a flat washer in the set…. just need one black oxide lock washer.
I sent the single flat washer back to you but got no response."

And so far still no reply.

To the original poster,
Sorry for the issue... We have been short handed and the message was never likely forwarded to me.. I also don't check messages on here very frequently. I just printed the label and sent a whole set out to you this morning.

Again, Sorry

No apology necessary. I'm sorry it had to go to this point.
Having sent the offending flat washer back to you in the mail with a letter,
the only remaining thing I didn't do was a phone call.....

Kudos to Michael. I think I would be applying to work there if I was closer. He sounds like a good guy to work for.

Working with clients and bosses. Sometimes texts and emails don't really do the job understanding everything. Talking on the phone is good. Nice follow up by 35fordtn.

On the other hand it just another tool to use.

To have the ability to text a picture of a part or what-not in discussion from pretty much where ever you are to where ever they are is pretty handy.

One of my old friend's can no longer talk do to his last stroke; but we can still "talk" via text.

Anyway I don't think texting is kids stuff anymore; they're likely on to some other tech.

All good points Rich. I don't even have a smart phone. Had one provided by my employer until I retired. Really only used the smart features to find a restaurant while traveling, etc. That was nice, but so seldom used its not worth the extra cost to me. In todays world if I send someone an interesting video link, they most likely watch it on the phone. Not me, screen is too small. When I travel the flip phone is in my pocket, and the laptop is on the seat with my own wifi hotspot. works good

I agree, like everything else, everything is a tool. It can be very powerful if you know how to use it.

I use both. Sometimes it is best to text info and pictures to get things moving. Also a phone call can straighten things out too. Guess it's okay to use all tools old or new.

Probably like this website. It's a tool.
