What holds the back cushion from sliding back, for mine to be the right height it has to sit on the bottom cushion, i have the top edge figured out but the bottom edge slides back, what holds the bottom in place. There is nothing that shows any sort of a stop. how tall is the back rest supposed to be ?
thanks kurt |

Should attach to the 3 L brackets on top of the rear front seat riser. If they are not there you will have to make them. They were originally welded to the riser. If you have a repro riser you probably don't have them

found the problem i think, i don't have the front seat back rear riser just the U shaped riser for the bottom of front seat.
Could someone look at Eckler's seat riser part no 28 22870-1 to make sure that i don't order any more wrong parts. Hope that's the part i need. thanks for all the help kurt |

That looks like the right one. You will still need to make the L brackets that fasten to it. The originals are riveted on but you can just bolt or tack weld them. They have holes that the 3 stovebolts along the bottom of the wood seat frame go through. I assume you have the wood frame on your seat. If not, Bratton's have it part #40160. Don't know if Eckler's have it. Let me know if you need more info or pictures of my 31 seat assembly.

Sounds like you have everything under control. Once you get your seat riser and L brackets installed, it's simply a matter of putting the bottom bolts through the L brackets, installing lockwashers and nuts and putting screws, from the rear, through the "seat adjuster" and into the wood frame at the top of the cushion.
