I know nothing about their new EFI system but years past I sold quite a few of his Flathead street fuel injection units and once we got the computer problems worked out they ran really well. The overall quality was excellent.

The computer he sent was a re-manufactured GM Australia unit and it was basically a set up computer. (he always said we weren't smart enough to make it run) We never could get them to run right until we went to an American FAST computer. Then they worked fine.

FAST was a super popular EFI ECU for many applications - one of the first designed to support both DIYers as well as Professional Tuners. This was prior to the extensive efforts that Holley put into their whole fuel-injection systems, ECUs and other components.
I give Holley a lot of kudus for how they've structured their product lines and the fact that the same EFI tuning software is used across almost all of their products - good stuff! |

![]() My inquiry is based upon my current setup. Currently i'm running 2 - 1988 Ford Escort TBI's (only $100 each on Ebay) mounted to an Offenhauser super dual intake and using 2011 Megasquirt II software on a laptop requiring manual trial by error data inputs. I can't get any info from Flatattack Racing about how old their provided Atom software is. Can I switch over to updated software such as Holley's with simpler keypad inputs? My ultimate goal is get 2 - E97's from Flatattack Racing and mount them atop a blower setup like Roadrunner Engineering's. Yeah it's pricey (2 - Flatattack E97's at $1300 and a Roadrunner Engineering polished Weiand 142 blower with a street 6 psi setup at $3900). My current setup just doesn't seem to fill up the engine compartment of my '35 5 - window coupe as a blower with carbs and birdmouth scoops would do while still being able to have the hood on (without the side panels). I’m running ms2 on my flathead w 2 Ducati single throttle bodies and am quite happy. You need to buy the full version of Tunerstudio with the auto tune feature; I was lost before I did that. Ken

Sorry to hear about Mike. We did a lot of business in the early 2000's. His knowledge of Flatheads is endless.

Sorry to hear Mike is not doing well. I only talked to him once when I bought my system, he was very helpful.
Krylon32, As I remember Mike said the computer I got was a V6 Holden unit. I will have to dig it out and see if its remanufactured. I was going to add a picture, but I can't get it loaded. |

Thanks! They are modified Thickstun adapters from ebay. I don't see any listed now but if you search Stromberg adapter some possible options come up. I posted some details in the other thread:
