I half-heartedly remember hearing of a shade-tree fix for those filter plates that are warped. Something about seating it in a tube of the right diameter (maybe an old starter housing) and giving it a rap with a large hammer. The goal was to restore the "bell" shape and cure the flatness of it. I can't remember the source. (CRS)

ALUMINUM PLATE - http://www.2040-parts.com/spin-on-oi...-352-i1607964/
Good picture at that link to show the components. What language is being used on the map to show the location of the supplier? There are comments on a few different forums questioning the legitimacy of the 2040 Parts site. Check out these comments here on the HAMB: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...bsite.1038855/ Might be a good idea to look into other suppliers before sending credit card information. |

2040-parts is apparently a scam website created to separate you from your personal or credit card information. Their parts ads are noted as copied from other websites.
See the comments and reviews.... https://www.webwiki.com/2040parts.com https://www.dootalk.com/forums/topic...alert-2040com/ https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/is-2040-parts-com-a-valid-parts-site.160360/ . Last edited by dmsfrr; 07-06-2021 at 09:31 PM. |

Does this sound correct for a Ford set-up? "Ford Y-block 239 256 272 292 312 OEM Oil Filter Plate & Adapter Spin ON Adapter Comes with all the hardware gaskets in photo need replacement. This is the OEM canister plate and adapter ,and than the spin on plate and adapter that screw into that" Pic shows 2 plates...was it? |

Kultulz- The picture on the site where I found this for sale... one plate has 2 slots at the top, the second plate has 3 holes in it and there are gaskets between both of them...
I don't have a way to grab/post the pics, but is that really necessary? The basic question is, does the FOMOCO adapter system use 2 plates that are installed on top of each other? Hoping those that are familiar with the factory piece(s) can let me know... |

If the KIT is not in a FORD box or MOTORCRAFT bag, it is most likely junk. I was just wondering about your source as to quality.
