Re: 41 Pick Up Wheel and Tire Sizing
Well, the HAMB is a better place but you will not get a warm reception from many as it is more of a traditional or traditionally style site. So, MIi suspensions are not really traditional.
But, there are some of us here who have built/owned cars like you describe . Built a 40 coupe, 4” dropped axle, reversed eye front spring, used the Speedway 4 bar setup, and 14x6” Rim’s with 4” backspace and 195/75-r14 tires. Out back, Chassis Engineering parallel leaf kit, lowering blocks, 8” rear, 15” x8” rims with 4” backspace, 235/75-r15” tires. Car sat low, had clearance, and used Chasais Eng front and rear sway bars. I will post a pic for you tomorrow .... Regardless, good luck ....

Re: 41 Pick Up Wheel and Tire Sizing
Since you are changing the front end to mustang type front clip and a later model differential you will have to use Ford passenger car lug bolt pattern wheels, front and rear. Make sure the wheels for the front will work on disk brakes.
You will probably need 6.5" wheels on the front, the tire size will depend on if you want a somewhat stock look, or the big/little street rod look. My taste runs towards same size tires front and rear... P205/75-15 front/rear would work well.. The rear wheel back spacing depends on the axle width.. My advise would be to get the chassis all assembled and the body sitting on it before you go out and purchase wheels/tires.

Re: 41 Pick Up Wheel and Tire Sizing
Also, '49-'66 (or so) Ford Car wheels had a 2 3/8" center hole, but the
wheels you need, will have to have the bigger 2 3/4" center hole that Ford Cars started using in the late 60's and newer. .
