I'm ready to install new glass in my tudor. The regulator rollers that fit into the window channel have a spring and washer on them and I'm missing a couple. I cant find them anywhere. Any suggestions? Thankyou
Actually are they even necessary? Look like they may just be an anti rattle thing. Last edited by drchip; 03-01-2011 at 09:47 AM. |

The "spring and washer thingie" is what the lower channel rides on for smooth operation. Yes, they are necessary. Looks like you have some machining ahead of you, or get new regulators.

Maybe check with a guy who calls himself "Regulator Roy" phone
856-478-2527. He is located in NJ. I always see him advertising in the EFV8C/A V8 Times magizine under services. He sells window regulators (what else would he sell ) for 1932-53. He may also sell parts for them.

Mine was missing one and I just got a flat washer and with a ball point hammer, hammer it into the shape the others were. Purchased a spring at the hardware store and it work great.

coupe35 - how did you get the post off to put the washer and spring on? I assume maybe grind rivet off and weld back? |

I got lucky - on closer inspection the washers were there. I managed to "screw" some springs over the post so I think I'm good. Thanks
