Rumble Seat's Tips used to be hosted on Bill Bennett's webpage.
http://www.btc-bci.com/~billben/flathead.htm The link to Paul's tips near the bottom goes to a broken page. (404 error page not found) just get the purple page with ads for unrelated things. Does anyone know where the webpage was relocated to? Thanks I met Paul in 1970 after I got back from Vietnam. He was a great friend and helped a lot when I was too poor to get things fixed ... with his SEWAGs. I talked to Jan two weeks ago ... she and Pauline are doing fine. I haven't found a current link, but downloaded a lot of his files when the site started to go away.

I don't understand how to use the internet archives but here is a link to them.
They are supposed to have the entire techno site. From this fb post. https://fordbarn.com/forum/showthrea...ghlight=techno Do you have the full web address saved? Have you looked for it here? - http://archive.org/web/ Maybe someone more savy than me could find them again. John |

I guess it was a matter of time before that site was going to go down. Hopefully all that information can get saved somewhere. I was hoping it would go to the HAMB or here but there is no longer a place to put archived tech info on the HAMB and that feature wasn't ever set up over here like it was on the old HAMB. I imagine it took up a fair amount of server space.

Most of Rumbleseat's stuff was text, not very many pictures - all text and just a few pics takes up surprisingly little space. I may have copied/loaded onto my old PC. I need to go check that out ....

I posted on the old flathead site every now and then, I was a member from when it was run by I think classic car. anyway, last year when things were not going well over there I inquired as to what it would take to download everything from the techno site and other information that was valuable onto a cd/dvd. I never got an answer, other than the site would always be there. I do not have the computer know how or I would do it. I suggested that the members could all pitch in for the initial work and then copies could be sold for a donation to keep the site up. I got no real reply. I think Carl/Roseville posts here sometimes maybe he will see this and have some answers. he races a front eng. dragster in Sacramento. anyone else think that putting all the info on a cd/dvd is a good idea before it all disappears and are there any good computer guys that woud undertake such a job>

I just spent the last two hours reading those articles. Those are well written and kept me interested. I wish I knew how to save them onto a disk or something myself. I will have to ask my daughter. Thanks for sharing

If you have a Windows PC you should be able to right click and save the documents to your hard drive.

Unless there are copyright issues or some such, how about making them a part of this site? They are mostly text articles, so additional disk storage should me minuscule.

Well, they already are, they are posted in #6. That should be a permanent post.

These are pretty small files, take up very little room; just download and save in folder on your computer, for future reference and entertainment.

That's fine for you and me, but what about a new guy that comes here looking for information?. They are the guys that probably most need this information the most. There should be a clear indication that this information is available and where it is.
