Picked up a KRW engine stand and this was one of the attachments. It's got a number 6005 on it but google isn't helping me here. Anyone know what it's for?

That is a later engine adapter from the late forties into the sixties. It will not orient in a locking position on the KRW #35 stand. The 6005 is for the 6 or 8 cylinder flathead engines. Although other adapters for other engines would have the 6005 designation and a suffix letter after such as 6005C or 6005E.

KRW parts numbers after the early '30s are keyed to the part the tool is for...here, the 6000 # just puts it into the engine group, and beyond that is meaningless without whatever additional number or letter was used by KRW to designate a particular engine! Scrutinize it far possible heavily painted stampings. It is not for a V8 flathead!
