Hello all,
I have two 94's that a guy wants to buy off me. I am not sure how much to ask for them. I posted some pics of them. They are in good shape and were on a running engine a few months ago. I do have a question about one of them. There is a 3/8" hole in the back of one of them. I am guessing this is not part of the design, but it doesn't look like someone drilled it. The car ran fine with it there. Any ideas? |

I pay 50-75 each for runners with all the parts and 25-35 for complete carbs that need rebuild.

I've never seen one with the hole in the air horn like that, but I don't claim to have seen it all.

I just rebuilt a 2GC. I was amazed to find when I assembled it that the gasket between the base and the main body does not completely seal the two. I have checked with the "Experts", and find that is is stock from the factory, and that GM carb kits had a stern warning that the gap was correct and the gasket was proper. Thus, the hole on the airhorn is possibly not deleterious. That being said, I would pass on that carb. I am also curious about the "stem" in the hole.
(If it was offered for free, I would get real creative with some JB-Weld.) ![]() |
