Looking for a current part # for the '49 Ford 8BA fane belt. That is the wide, short belt from the crank sheave to the fan sheave. It's about 36" long, (outside measurement), and 11/16" to 3/4" wide. Anyone have a current Gates TR series part number or NAPA ? Thank you.

This may help.
http://shoebox-central.com/1949-ford...ulley-fan-belt For the fan pulley to crank I used Gates FHP 5L270 (21/32" x 27 in long.) from NAPA. FHP means fractional horse[power. 21/32 is just 1/32 larger than 5/8 so it works fine. Make sure your belt DOES NOT ride down on the inside dia. of the pulley. It rides only on the sides of the sheave. Be sure and read this about belts. http://blog.micrometl.com/tag/how-do...-missing-belt/ Oh, remember the rule; BUY TWO of EACH.
