Default Roadster top cleaner

I have a 1929 roadster with a tan cloth top that needs cleaning. A vinyl cover was put on it for approx. two months and left streaks where the cover touched the top. What should and should not be used to remove the markings?

You might want to check out the "Vinyl Awning Cleaner" that is used on Motor Homes. At least check out their label and find out if it meets the material on your top. I also use it on my white convertible top and if you go by the directions and don't rush the job, it is great on those awful streaks.

Good Luck...Great Looking Car..!

LeBaron-Bonney has some good stuff that is specifically made to clean and re-waterproof Cloth Tops.

I would not use anything that is not specifically for this purpose.

Yes, check with LeBaron-Bonney, we have been working on an article for the Model A TImes on this very subject, but they sell a product that is recommended by the company that manufactures the fabric they use for the tops.

I will order the product that LaBaron-Bonney offers and hope it works.

Thanks for the advice.
