wide five studs
I have a broken wheel stud on my 38 front drum. I was able to get it out by drilling the centre of the stud out and some pie cuts in the remaining part of the stud and it basically fell out which is good.
I need a 68-1107 stud to repair it properly. I have not been able to find one. I hate to use a serrated one and back weld it but i might have to. any ideas? i think i found a swegding tool that i can borrow. |

Re: wide five studs
I have some worthless 38 drums, if you can't find any I can attempt to pull a couple for you.

Re: wide five studs
I have a couple old drums that I could remove one by drilling off the swedge and then tack weld in in on the back side if it comes to that

Re: wide five studs
Lindsay,
I think I have a NOS stud for wide five. I got some from a fellow barner some time back. I'm sure I still have at least one left. I tried the aftermarket ones, but none seemed to fit right. Send me a pm and I'll look tonight. |

You also may want to try Ray Helgers in RI 401 635 4849 or Fred Wilner at Southside Obsolete in MN for NOS.
