The Canterbury Branch Of The Southern Kiwi Regional Group of The Early Ford V8 Club Of America [wow, what a mouthful!] had a mid winter lunch on Sunday. 15 early V8,s and 37 Members turned up on a very cool but clear Winter day for a very nice lunch. All around the rest of the country was wild winter weather, worst floods ever in one city, heavy snow falls in other parts ,but fine here. Well that's winter for you. There were 3 Barners there,Phil Gillespie in his 39 Coupe,GeoffNZ in the 38' ,and myself in my 38' Deluxe Sedan. Also of interest is the 1953 Mainline Ute.

I really love the look of '53's, and that ute is really neat! I'd love to have one of those over here!
