This is a replica of a local car that raced here in Christchurch back in the day. It does get driven in anger at local vintage Speedway events. Sounds wonderful when on full song.It was/is called the Flintstone Car. I looked ,and it does have a floor! but your bum is pretty close to the ground. Hopefully GEOFFNZ will chime in here as he knows a lot more about this and the original car.

Hi Bryn.Am no expert on the car but do remember it very well I think about the mid sixties at Ruapuna. That is a replica but the original was a lot quicker than it looked. All flathead running gear and built and driven by Don Cameron who is also responsible for the replica. It was well balanced and had good brakes and handling.Usually in the front bunch and if there was a pile up it was usually somewhere else. A credit to Kiwi ingenuity.Even then the flatheads were still holding their own in competition.Geoff
