My project installing a vehicle warning buzzer alerting, that the vehicle running lights were left on after you shut the engine off, was a real learning task for me. I now know that, any device that requires or may incorporate the “Henry Ford” ignition wiring circuit is pretty much impossible.
After reading a few replies from a number of “Barn” members, I finally have to admit - one of the simplest ways to install an alert device, as I wanted or tried to do, is to use “Barn” member - JacksonIII’s idea. He has a video tape explaining the installation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=it7C06vanBs A six dollar push button switch, few feet of wiring, a 6V buzzer, a couple of stake-on connectors, 3/8” power drill and some time. The alert buzzer works A OK. THANKS JACKSONIII Dave |

You rig a Model T coil to the driver's seat and have it turn on if the lights are left on. It won't take long to learn to turn them off before leaving the car.

Tom, I already tried that and it just doesn't work......maybe no feeling left in the old behind. My wife said, "oh, not your ass again" or something like that.
