I have all the tacks and applicable screws out of 31 Tudor door upper post wood pieces...all the rest of the wood is removed in the body. (vertical piece where striker is located) Wood is still tight in the slot. How is it removed? Must be something I cannot see....and books do not mention this process.

On my 31 coupe, it is screwed from the outside with a few nice long wood screws, then the quarter was installed. I bet you will have the same issue here...

there are 2 screws that go into the wood before the outer sheet metal is hung at the factory. here is what works for me!!!!!!!
get a slide hammer with a wood screw in it and slap out the wood from the body. once the wood is removed get a dykes and remove the 2 screws the heads will pull right thru. dont worry about reinstalling them you wont be able to Last edited by Mitch//pa; 02-20-2013 at 01:21 PM. |
