My kind of girl! I never knew spooning was dangerous tho.

The big question is- how in the hell did anything happen in the rumble seat, unless it was a Lincoln or some other large car.

Try doing it in a 75 Pinto (not a hatchback or wagon either)- Rumble seat would have been a cake walk

I would have thought it would have been a piece of cake, rather than a cake walk...

Sure glad that I drive a 31 pickup. No more scrapes and bruises!

I can hear it now:

Girl: Well Mom, Dink was driving so fast and the wind was so strong it just ripped my clothes to shreds.

Mom: Oh, I see dear, and you just decided to stop at the beauty shop and get your wind blown hair done while you were half naked.

While visiting the local retirement home, I was opening my roadster rumble seat with a sweet little lady watching. I remarked that it was called the rumble seat and she replied with a bit of a blush and a twinkle in her eye..."Oh yes, I remember the rumble seat...! I think I blushed then. We had a great time visiting.

Interesting, and from a book dated 1931.

She might be someone's great Grandma, being about 90 by now.

I told you guys rumble seats are dangerous.

This is a good argument against enthusiasts converting Fords with trunk to rumble seat.

If she was 18 in 1931, then she would be 100 years old today.

I love that poster.

This is 90 year old Andy from the retirement home.
I believe he was trying to convince my wife to stay in the rumble seat too long.

We almost came to blows.
