Default Signs

A couple of signs I picked up today at the flea market. Reproductions but still cool. Will look good in my garage.

I picked up the FORD MOTOR sign this year. $12.00 not bad. I have about 12 so far to cover up the sins on the wall. [I am a bad sheet rock taper...]l.o.l.

Here's a few signs I have in my garage, some repo, some real.
Anybody remember who that guy in the pic. Is? .
The fan is an org. that came with the car when I bought it three years ago, I re-did the gas pump and oil cans.
Here's a before and after pic. on the gas pump.

Yeah, I agree that Ford signs look great on the garage wall. Here are some from our garage wall:

I have a modest collection of porcelain FORD signs, without having much money tied up in them.
1. The round, former neon sign faces, I bought from an antique shop, years ago, for $20.00 ea.
2. The FORD "arrow" signs, I picked out of a dump. The neon was gone, and I foolishly discarded everything, except the porcelain "arrows".
3. The "Bell Motor Co." sign, I picked up at a Swap Meet for about $15.00.
4. The "Sales and Service" sign, I took down from a Ford Dealer's garage, while returning, through the mountains, from the National V8 Ford Club Meet, in Washington, D.C. in 1975, I believe. All I had to do was take it down. I made several good "picks" on that trip. I was traveling in my '35 Cabriolet.
5. The "Genuine Ford Batteries" sign, I had picked up at a swap meet for about $15.00.
6. The large "FORD" sign was given to me by a friend, who I had helped work on his "A" Model. It arrived unexpectantly. It is nearly 100 years old.

I think these old signs, gas pumps, oiler's, etc. make a garage a great place to hang around, esp. if it's got an "A" model or any other old car in there also.
It reminds me of when I was a kid, and the fun I had hanging around the old service station near my home, esp. when I had enough money to buy a coke and put pee-nuts in it.
Any one else have any pic's of their sign/stuff collection ?

I have a few original signs and some modern reproductions. Most of the original stuff is packed away due to moving this summer, but I will get a photo of the ones hanging on my office wall and post it.

I also collect other Ford dealer memorabilia such as clocks, fluid cans, etc etc etc.
