Default medal light switch tube etc on a f-1 steering gear

I've a friend that wants to retain the model 'A' steering wheel if adaptable & it's levers etc. on an F-1 steering gear says the tube will not pass through the sector tube, not sure of all the particulars, any input appreciated.

Here is your best source. Randy uses new 1 piece shafts. Some people weld them which can be a failure spot.
