I purchased some body braces but I’m not sure where these actually go. I have an idea but am looking for suggestions. Pics attached of the bracket and where I think they go. Thanks

I suggest you put your general location in your profile, the guy that lives around the corner might have one you could look at. By the way, welcome to fordbarn.

Here is a picture of that area on my early '31 RDPU. I think you are probably right but my bracket is different.

Thanks Charlie. I figured out your photo. I assume that wood above that braces follows up the body where the door closes. This helps. Thanks

The ones you need (as Charlie's shown) are on eBay (link below) and are also sold by Snyder's, Eckler's, Brookville and likely others.

Thanks for the input guys. I looked for where to put my location but can’t find that on here. I just joined this site so I’m learning it slowly. I’m from central Texas. Charlie I see your pic but literally have no idea where that is as the pic zeros in on the bracket. If you can show one zoomed out I’d appreciate it. I have 2 street rods (26 coupe,28 sedan)I’m building all in different stages. My father passed last year and I inherited this 31 pu he has started. Thanks for the responses.

You say as shown. As shown in my pic? Charlie’s pic is a different looking bracket. These were bought from ecklers for the 30-31 but I’ve called them and they have nobody there that knows. Go figure lol.

Here is a pic showing the braces I have. It’s the smaller one in the pic. It could be an have a 28-29 bracket.

Hello, here is a picture of both an original and Brookville repro. They do stiffen the quarter panel up , roadster bodies have to be the flimsiest around!Even with all body blocks properly shimmed still get some flexing, when closing doors I always push them closed .
