Are there any real differences between the front bumper for a 1930 Model A sedan and a 1930 Model A truck? Will someone please explain to me what differences, if any, exist between the two bumpers?

I think they were the same until one had a wreck.

An also FWIW, there were two different types of front bumper bars on the 1928, and then a different front bumper bar for the 1929. So basically there was a different front bumper for all years of regular production. |

'AR' term was never used on bumpers. The open end bar is A-17757 which was basically a superseded Model-T part number. This is what is commonly referred to as the open end bumper. Then A-17757-A was introduced around 11/27/1927 which is the E - M1928 bumper bar. Next was the A-17757-B which was designed for the later '28s and the 1929 production year. The A-17757-C was the 62⅞" bumper, and then the A-17757-D which was the 60" bumper that was used until end of production. This can be researched at the Benson Research Center. . . |

From your 1st picture it looks like the early-mid 1928 bar is about twice that indentation, so our car has the late 28-29 bar. What was the diff from A-17757-B to A-17757-C? |
