door glass rollers
Hi guys , on my 55 wagon whats the secret or trick to get new rollers installed in the channel on the bottom of the glass and so the clip is not in the way of sliding it onto the stud of the winder assembly , just cant get my head around it thanks in advance Fred

From the '53 shop manual, '55 will be the same:
Install the rollers in the channel. Raise the arm and pivot assembly into the door. Before locating the 3 retaining screw holes start the upper roller into the roller guide. Install the 3 retaining screws but do not tighten at this time. Connect the regulator link to the arm and plate assembly and install the retaining pin. Adjust the arm and plate assembly to reestablish proper glass alignment.

The hard part is getting the rollers and hardware. Where did you find them?

Be careful with rollers, some parts places use one for everything. If the car came with the red ones, get the red ones. The later blue ones will need modification to fit. Some older glass shops still may have them.
