Oops Ross, not so. The 3HD was column shift beginning in 1953 on F-250s, and I’ll assume F-350s. Stu

I thought those were kind of out of the focus of this discussion, but you are correct.

I Have a 41 basket case with a column shift that I assumed was wrong, but Ken said they had some in 41. Any info on how or why this happen on the 41 only. Not sure to swap it out now.

The column is the same as a car , the column drop and floor cover is unique to the pickup |

In 1955 I had a '41 sedan delivery that had a column shift, however, the sedan delivery trucks were basically the same a a '40 car.
My father bought a new '52 F1 V8 that had three on the tree and an OD... I loved that truck. I have always wanted one like it, never have ran across one with all the accessories like dad's truck.

Not that I'm aware of, the bottom edge of the firewall is cut out and the plate around the pedals has a step in it to clear the shifter arms
